TB/WP/Valve 06

Rate this Entry

Before backing off the valve clearance adjuster and removing the TB, checked the valve clearance on some of the cylinders.

They were either at the max limit or just above so seems like it was not adjusted properly last time.

#4 cyl was at the limit so it will be interesting to see how it will improve the deviation in compression data after the service.

As seen on many NSX, even at low mileage and fairly late model NSX, the WP was already showing some rust.

Unlike other NSX, the bearing was still fine but no point in not replacing it at the time of TB service.

You can feel for the bearing rattle without removing the WP but you can’t check the rust without removing it.
