My remaining stock of JAE terminals for the SRS cables.
It’s such an old spec that JAE no longer manufactures it and I must find alternative one.

I would like to say thank you to our member 'greenberet' for spending sometime contacting JAE and several vendors trying to find the remaining stock somewhere in the world.

In the process of creating the necessarily parts for the Horn circuit as well as for the SRS warning light.
Not finished yet but expensive Raychem tube with Teflon coated felx copper wire used.
Probably over quality but you don’t want to hear the horn suddenly starting and won’t be able to stop it until you pull the horn relay out that you won't be able to find where it is.

Applying super high quality non-melting grease. Not too much but not too thin.
This grease is not conductive so needs to be careful but if applied too thin, it will start making noise after months everytime when you turn the wheel.
Double checking the mating surface and spring force against the contact plate once the boss was installed and making sure that none of the metal parts are touching the horn circuit.

Quick check of SRS warning light and the horn circuit.
Could have adjusted the exposure level before posting but I prefer using the original photo to prove that it's genuine.
The SRS light is the one at the top row sandwiched between the two blight indicators.
After putting the IG key in P2 (IG ON, lots of lights on the dash), SRS light will switch itself Off after about 6sec if everything is fine.

Just briefly short the GND cable from the Momo boss to the nearby GND to confirm the horn operation.

Although you only use 3 screws at this stage, checking all 9 screws and selecting which ones to be hidden under the horn sw holder plate and which ones to be exposed outside.
Honda used to use the special screws (probably from Momo) with some text engraved on the screw face but long-long time ago, they switched to ordinary ones so nothing special these days.
I have the engraved ones (but not all of them) on my NSX-R wheel.

Having access to lots of Type-R/NSX-R workshop manual is very important.
There are specific parts used only on Type-R/NSX-R and adjustment spec as well as the specified torque are different from or not even available on the standard models.
Some of the information on the web are not correct so you need to be very careful.

Placing the parts back in place.
Before lowering the car, checked the noise level by turning the wheel lock to lock multiple times.
Compared to the original centre position, the Momo boss forced the wheel to be mounted tiny bit leftward.
This photo is misleading as it's pointing quite a lot towards the left but the wheel was touched during the lock to lock noise testing so not in the centre position when the photo was taken.
During the test driving session, the steering was pointing slightly towards the right so interesting to see how it will compensate during the final test driving session.
The alignment was not correct anyway so at some point in the future with 100% confidence that the RL wheel doesn't have slow puncture, please take alignment service.

There is a protective film on top of the red ‘H’ logo at the horn button.
Will ask the owner to remove it as I want to keep it unscratched.
You don’t want to know how much this small horn button costs…….

As always, the half-moon shape SRS cable reel indicator will be exposed after installing the Momo boss.
There is no hole on the NSX-R steering cover but then, the finish/texture is different so requires other parts to be replaced as well.

Just need to tidy up the cable routing considering the steering column adjusters and crushable mechanism, put interior parts back in place, reset ECU as the battery was disconnected, carry out final test driving session, final check and wash the car.
Should be ready for the collection over the weekend.

I need to focus on the new washing machine tomorrow.
While studying the manual, it has completely different washing modes and why some of them take such long time to complete…..
