Just keep removing the parts….

Noticed that during the last TB service, some of the bolts for the TB mid covers were not placed back and missing.

Not the first time to see this and quite common human error, I’m afraid.

Due to the valve cover gasket not replaced or not installed properly during the last TB service, there were lots of oil seepage behind the crank pulley.

Looks like I’m going to spend some time cleaning this section.

When removing the oil cooler, there was no resistance at the two upper bolts.

From the factory, these bolts were coated in red sealant and you can re-use them as long as you clean the bolt hole and apply liquid gasket to the bolt thread.

Looks like they were re-used but without the liquid gasket coated.

It’s bit naughty as these bolts are the critical part for the oil system.

As I’ll be replacing the two coolant hoses at the oil cooler, just completely took it off the car.
