The shape of the pipe neck is different between the OEM and Koyo rad and since the existing coolant hoses are few years old, new upper and lower coolant hoses were installed. The hose clamps were also replaced with the new ones.

Since the coolant was drained for the emergency radiator service, it’s the best time to remove the TH body and clean the idle air passage as well as the TH butterfly.

VVIS plates and screws were still there.
For C32B, I'm more worried about the cracked inlet valve guide than losing the VVIS plate screw.






TH body was just simply covered in sticky black gunk. Looked as if it was never cleaned in the past.
I don’t think this was the only reason why this engine showed sudden increase of rpm for like 1sec on warm/hot restart but still, won’t have good effect either.
