The owner wanted to have the clock and A/C CCU illumination modified so that the display and the LED indicators stay at max brightness even when the lighting switch was operated.
I touched on these long time ago;

I have been using this modification for a few years now and very happy with them.
Especially useful when using the light while the sun is still out. Under this condition, it's so hard or almost impossible to see anything on the display of the clock and CCU.
Now that I’m running the DRL on my NSX, won’t see much benefit but decided to keep this modification even for the night driving as it won’t bother me even in the dark.
By the way, I refurbished one A/C CCU for this owner many years ago so I was expecting to see the same board this time.
However, when I opened the CCU, I found very interesting board like above......
It was completely different board and someone worked on it in the past.
Very poor soldering with acid still left on the board so it managed to dissolve some of the remaining parts on the board.
For now, I just cleaned it and also carried out full testing and confirmed that everything is working at this stage.
The owner doesn’t know when it was swapped…….
After long-long delay due to extra services as well as the way I look after all sorts of other projects plus being alone for a few months, finally carried out the final test driving session and returned this NSX to the owner.
Thank you for using my services and looking forward to meeting you and your NSX again in the future.
Regards,
Kaz
