Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer

In the process of cleaning my spare Rear AMP board. Removed all of the old hot melting glue and cleaned the surface as much as possible.




Both AMPs being refurbished and hot melting glue applied.
The initial bench test went fine so applied conformal coating and thermal transfer compound.
The owner’s original later spec front AMP showed about 0.4V lower figure at the IC U1 compressor related terminals but the output level was fine with bit higher temperature.
Couldn’t find other issues so going to test this AMP thoroughly.




Ready for the aging testing.

Normally, I test each AMP at least 2Hrs under thermal shock condition but as the owner is based outside of UK, I don’t want to have any issues so going to drive each AMP at least 4Hrs.


Should be ready by the end of today.

In my view, when the OEM system is operating perfectly, the sound level and quality are good enough especially if you have CD changer or iPod/AUX adaptor + bluetooth with aptX.
