Wrong screws and even different length used at the centre arm rest glove box.
I think something is not quite right at the parking brake mechanism. The amount of adjuster sticking out from the nut is way too much.
Later I found strange movement at the RR calliper. This video was taken just after releasing the parking brake so normally, the pad is just sitting against the disc with no gap at all.
However, as you can see, there is noticeable gap allowing the calliper to slide like a few mm.
Almost as if the self-adjuster mechanism was not working inside the piston.
Will take a look once disassembled.
This right side door mirror glass was really wobbly.
The holder screw thread was really rusty so don’t want to touch it without having access to the spare parts.
Probably it will break off if you try to remove the screw.
I need to check the actual direction of the vane inside the disc.
I was told from the owner that it’s the Racing Brake disc.
I thought they had curved vane for the front disc and just standard straight vane for the rear.
FR disc installed in this direction and RR one in this way….. Hm…..
RR parking brake cable boot already being cut and damaged…. Great……
Gasket at the Rear IG coil cover was trapped and not making good seal at all.
It already took set so not sure I can recover its functionality without replacing it….
Will try to force its shape using the liquid gasket and heat for now....
Can't wait to see the state of rear IG coils......
Message to the owner after test driving session
Once again, really loud squeaky noise from around wheel area. Bit embarrassing driving through the residential area…..
TW: just touching the lower side of the horizontal marker. Normal for around this year model.
VB: 15.0V indicated at the gauge at cruising but if you measure the real figure, it’s bit lower.
PO: Interesting reading. If serviced at Honda garage in UK, normally they use Castrol eng oil.
When cruising at 2,000-2,300rpm, only about 300kPa. I thought it would be much higher than that.
At idle, about 130kPa. Interesting to know which oil was used.
Steering wheel pointing towards to the right.
Lots of cabin noise
TH pedal felt really heavy and not responsive although the latter is mainly due to CEL stays on due to de-CAT.
You have P0141 (CEL#66, Rear, secondary O2, heater circuit) and P0430 (CEL #67, Front CAT efficiency) so you will need to replace Rear Secondary O2 sensor at some point but even you replace it, you will then trigger CEL #68 for the Rear CAT efficiency…..
Another busy weekend……
