Eng Refresh + LMA, Bilstein Damper, etc – Final Touch

Rate this Entry

After so many weeks, finally, I’m happy to release the car to the owner.

Went out for the constant 70mph cruising mode long test driving session and happy with the result so on the way back, engaged the VTEC and brought the engine into high rpm band using the long-long up slope.
Happy with the result and went back using the cool down session.

Even after just few days, the ride height went further lower and with the use of wheel spacers, looked fairly aggressive on the negative camber so placed the car on the shaker platform.
Checked around the damper and happy with the result.

As a standard procedure after fitting the wheel, always double check the torque on the wheel nut after putting some mileage.
Especially important if your wheels are refurbished.

If the owner let me buy the parts for him/her for the Eng Refresh from Japan (cheaper than buying from US because
I don't need to put any profits on the parts, forget about UK price, no chance in beating the price….), he/she will get
JDM spec TB parts kit.
It comes with extra bits including this sticker.
I always place it here so if you see this, it’s very likely that the engine went through my Eng Refresh service.

Quick clean-up of the car as I didn’t want to touch the paint surface under this strong wind.

Thank you for using my service and waiting patiently for the delay caused by several reasons.

Hope you will enjoy the result of my Eng Refresh and the new Bilstein dampers.

Regards,
Kaz

Dear Kaz, you have ignited a new passion for the NSX, opened up a new driving pleasure and having returned home I have covered probably the best 100 miles of the last 30k!

Thank you, be safe and good health to you always.

    Best regards, Paul

Glad you enjoyed your driving on the way back to your place.
Please try to drive your NSX to shake down the new components in preparation for the alignment session.
Your internal engine parts were very clean but still, driving regularly is the best thing you can do for the engine.
As mentioned, it may take 500miles or even more for the used pad to get good contact with the replacement new disc so please be gentle on the brake for quite some time.

Looking forward to meeting you and your NSX gain in the future.
    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Kaz
