The limit of standard TB service with the eng kept inside the bay…..
Easy to make mistake.
The gasket at the front mid cover was caught during the installation allowing all sorts of debris, oil, moisture to enter the TB area.
Another bad example…. The owner didn’t mention any Oil pressure warning light so probably the wire is fine but the low oil pressure warning sensor cable was trapped by the rear valve cover.....
Will inspect the wire later.
As seen on many NSX, I think I’m going to have fun removing these heavily corroded TB cover bolts…. Can’t wait to see the ones hidden by the crank pulley…..
I hope I can loosen the TB tension adjuster bolt. Lots of rust with missing rubber seal…..
As always, lots and lots of oil seeped around the rear exh cam disc cap.
Lots of water marking at the rear bank.
Looks like I need extra time for washing up for the rear bank......
Need to rescue this cable bracket… Twisted and bent…
Will wash the engine today and start opening the engine.
More to follow later.
