Eng Refresh, Health Check, etc 38

Rate this Entry

Already carried out short distance test driving session in order to get idea on when the owner can collect his NSX.

Back on the lift, happy with the result so time for the 30min cruising mode session. On the way back, activated VTEC and entered the high rpm range once.

Back to cruising mode and cool down session.

Double checked that there is no air at the heater core and radiator bleeder plugs.

Adjusted the coolant level and the eng oil level.

As the engine was too hot for dressing and couldn't cool down the body panel enough for washing the car so stopped for the day here.

The following day, washed the car, dressed the engine and as I reset the ECU after carrying out the cruising mode, another test driving session had to be done to dry the car as well as to set all fuel parameters.

JDM spec TB comes with extra items......

All emission flags being set after another test driving session including cruising mode.

So, something looked like this before start of the service turned into nice looking one.
Before/after.

I normally don't like the feeling of DBW and while the loss of exhaust flow speed caused by the aftermarket CAT and exhaust is affecting the low rpm band torque, I feel like fan to drive this power surge on this NSX. Very powerful and really fast in going through the rpm bands and with the NSX-R suspension, you need to be bit careful with your TH pedal as you can easily loose traction. Lowered the tyre pressure a bit as the average temperature is getting higher these days.
Already told the owner about the latest tyre pressure setup at 10degC but I think it would be better to go even further lower for this setup.

Thank you for using my service and hope you will enjoy your NSX again.

Regards,
Kaz
