This is how the liquid gasket should be applied if the cam shaft was removed and the black cam disc was replaced.

Cleaned the excess liquid gasket at #1 and #4 cam holders to this level.

Preparation is the key for preventing the oil seepage from the valve cover gasket for many years.

TB cover/back plate cleaned and melted potting removed.
All 6 rubber gaskets replaced.

As mentioned many times, every time when I look at the design around this area, the TB on our NSX is one of the most well protected design against the oil, moisture, debris, etc.

Beautiful.

New WP installed with all 7+2 red sealant bolts replaced.
One of the dowel pin showed corrosion so decided to replace it with a new one.
Before the installation, ran the oil stone gently as a final preparation. Degreased the surface and then torqued all bolts in 3 rounds with specific sequence considering the WP housing design. Hope it will prevent any seepage until next TB/WP service.

Cam gears installed and torqued to the spec.
Lock paint applied to visually check the status.

TB to be installed followed by the 4Hr marathon valve clearance adjustment if I can get the garage temperature stable. Joy of working on the aluminium block/head engine during the winter period.

More to follow later.
