Front head cleaning is nearly done.

Took ages for removing the excessive amount of black liquid gasket but rear bank was even worse.




The mating surface of WP re-surfaced to this level. Didn't want to go any further to leave enough safety margin for the future.
Please replace WP at every TB service regardless of the mileage covered. No point in re-using it as you can't inspect the internal section or the condition of mating surface without removing it.






Still, in the middle of cleaning the rear bank but getting there. What a time consuming task removing all these black liquid gasket outside/inside the engine......






All extra parts from Japan and the O2 sensors from US just arrived so looking forward to reassembling the engine.

According to the weather forecast, we are expecting significant temperature drop from tonight so unfortunately, I have no option but to use that smelly assembly lube instead of the eng oil again.....
I hate that.....
