Doing bit of catch up updating the blog.

As expected, as seen on many NSX, the area around the RR wheel speed sensor head was oxidised and completely stuck inside the hub.
Had to carefully trim it out from the fitting hole and cleaned the oxidised material as much as possible.
Will apply thin silicone grease around the sensor body to prevent future oxidation.

Some of the bolt threads on the TB cover plates were cross-threaded so had to re-thread them.
At the same time, cleaned the red sealant from the factory around the WP and Oil cooler in preparation for the installation.

Once again, spending far too many hours cleaning the engine......
Lots of black and blowby contaminated oil gunk everywhere around the trapping holes inside the cyl head.

You can see the same effect on the intake manifold and the TH body.
So much sticky dirt around there.

In fact, there are lots of blowby oil trapped at the lower chamber of the VVIS.
Couldn't put the camera at the ideal angle but you can inspect it while removing the TH body or simply use fibre scope if you are keeping the engine inside the eng bay.
Probably not enough to cause white smoke from the exhaust but in a few years time, just remove the intake manifold and clean the VVIS plates as well as the manifold chamber.
Good idea to clean the INJ at the same time considering the mileage although didn't feel any misfire or hesitation at this stage.

By the way, all screws holding the VVIS butterfly were still in place with no gap between the plate and screw head so no need to worry about the losing the screw into the engine for now.

In order to show how dirty the TH body is, just wiped off part of the TH body.
The area covered in thick charcoal black should be shiny silver colour.
Same goes to the entrance of the intake manifold just behind the black insulator. It should be silver and not black.

ECU was doing fairly good job stabilizing the idle rpm even with so much dirt inside the TH body and around the TH butterfly.

There were several corrosion on the coolant pipes but far better than some of the NSX especially the ones not driven regularly or the ones with coolant service ignored. Saves the cost and time for the owner as well.
