KSP ABS Upgrade Loom, Cruise Control switch 02

Rate this Entry

As my right hand is still not fully recovered and on icing treatment, decided to do light duty tasks for the day.

Modified the KSP ABS Loom for the LHD application and also improved the SCS terminal.

Once the liquid gasket cured, it's ready to be sent to the owner.

I think the owner told me that he has non-DBW spec NSX so connected the relay and several wires in the specified configuration.
This is required because Honda changed the ABS warning light circuit several times over the years.
It is covered in my ABS upgrade loom installation manual so hope the owner will double check it.

For the cruise control SET switch, initially I was planning to install black plastic plate to hide the round cut out on the left side of the lower column cover and then install the SET switch there.

This cut out is used to monitor the cable reel indicator but I no longer use it.

However, after reviewing the position of the steering boss/hub base and the fact that part of the outer ring of the switch will sunk below the cover surface, I felt it would look strange so decided not to install it there. If I want to hide that hole, probably best to use NSX-R steering cover.

So, decided to just create D-cut out at the lower left side of the cover.
Attached simple connector at the other end so that it can be disconnected with ease.
Haven't tested yet but it should work because Cruise Control SET input is very simple circuit.
You just need to send high level signal to the input port.

Hoping to test it tomorrow as I need to do some shopping.
