Preparing for the compression check before Eng Refresh.

The owner told me that the spark plugs were replaced a while ago.

As always, I have no idea on how they were treated so I normally check them while the engine is cold. They were really tight that I actually injured my right hand.....

It was that tight.
....

No rust on the front bank IG coils and bit extra rust at the #1 and #2 ones at the rear bank but not too bad. No misfire so just re-use them. I have full set of replacement for the 3pin IG coils.

In the process of compression test.
The full data has been sent to the owner.

#1: **5, #2: **0, #3: **2, #4: **5, #5: **0, #6: **0

Compared to other C32B 3.2L engine, the data was slightly lower so interesting to see how it will change after the Eng Refresh. The data on all 3 cylinders at the rear bank showed lower figure than the front one so interseting to see the existing cam timing.
The deviation between each cyl was not too bad but on the high side so hope I can improve this by going through the 4Hr marathon valve clearance adjustment.

Upper side of the engine is pretty much ready. Just needs to disconnect the fuel line and the coolant hoses.
Moving onto the lower side.
Hope the penetrating oil worked its way into all these corroded exh bolts as well as siezed parking brake cable pin.

Busy days.
I must find some time visiting the post office to send back the CCU for another owner.
It's a spare one that I refurbished long-long time ago.

More to follow later.
