KSP ABS Upgrade Loom, Cruise Control switch 01

Rate this Entry

Once again, another owner wanted to upgrade his classic ABS to the latest one body solution introduced from 99/00 models (definition of year model depends on the country spec) so placed the order for the KSP Engineering ABS upgrade loom.

Normally, it is in stock but on this occasion, it was on really long back order........

One of the owner informed me that SoS in US changed the type of ABS loom that they used to source from one of the Japanese shop.
They used to sell the one with wires soldered to the white connector terminals that tends to cause soldering crack resulting in several failure modes but then they switched to the new design with no soldering involved.
At that time, on their website, it looked almost 100% the same as the KSP one so I thought they started getting the loom from KSP but now I can no longer see it so not sure what happened there. One thing for sure, it may not fit without making modification for the LHD models.

So, I'll be changing the loom layout as well as modifying the SCS terminal.
From previous batch, KSP included the SCS terminal but to me, it's not user friendly and since most of the owners got used to the 'paper clip' method on reading the error code, I normally add extra connector so that the same method can be used on this cable as well.

I have just started another Eng Refresh service so it will be busy days once again but hope to complete the task very soon.

I wanted to install this simple switch for the cruise control 'SET' function for one owner but he couldn't make it this time so I may just try it on my NSX as well.
I have two switches but I don't need the 'RESUME' feature so just one switch is enough.
