Vacuum leak check of the cooling system.

When this NSX arrived at my place, the coolant level was already at the MIN so it was leaking from somewhere and as mentioned yesterday, it was very likely to be around the hose fitting of the heater core bleeder plug.
So, left the system under vacuum for 45min to see any further leakage.

While waiting for the vacuum leak check, replaced the fuel filter.

This is the old fuel came out from the filter.
Due to the flash of the camera, not easy to tell the true colour but it was like rusty red/brown fluid.
Even with low annual mileage, should replace it at least every 3 years.
Several owners experienced hesitation due to crogged fuel filter due to low annual mileage and forgot about it.

New filter installed.
Will prime the system once the battery is re-connected and carry out the leak check.

Once again, would like to remind the owners about the fuel cap.

Please pay extra attention when closing it. On many UK based NSX, the cap was only partially locked and not fully closed.
You must press the cap inwards while rotating it otherwise, it will start making the clicking sound halfway (as if it is closed) when it was only partially closed.

Happy with the vacuum leak check of the cooling system so started filling the Type 2 coolant.

New Crank Pulley installed, treated the pulley bolt properly and then torqued it to the spec.

A/C and ACG belts installed, adjusted and torqued all related bolts/nuts to the spec.

As I waited for the delivery of the extra parts from Japan, the engine was left without any movement for several days so I prefer using multiple short cranking by disabling the INJ followed by long cranking to build up the oil pressure.

After this, quick 30sec fire up to push the remaining air pockets in the cooling system towards the heater core and another bleeding process carried out.

Followed by the proper fireup to bring the system to the standard operating temperature until the cooling fan kicks in.

While the car is in the air, quick check around the car and as reported earlier, small exh gas leakage at the aftermarket exh box fittings.

Will adjust the fluid/oil level later.

Hope to take the car to the alignment place next week.

Needs to finish several things before that so another busy weekend.
