Removed the audio head unit and found this.

It's some sort of noise filter on the power line.
Unfortunately, it won't do much as I don't think the noise is getting through the power line.
It's more specific to a certain FM frequency (around BBC Radio 2) and fine for CD mode and other radio frequencies.
More like another device causing interference to a specific frequency.

As the owner doesn't listen to the radio often, we agreed that it's best not to spend too much time on this and hence,
going to leave it for now.

There was no other extra cables/components behind the audio head unit but additional cables found at other places on the car.

Such a time consuming task yet not much to report while draining the coolant and replacing all these coolant hoses....

You can remove the TH body without loosing too much coolant if you want to clean it without draining the entire coolant
and DBW model is much easier as you don't need to deal with the TH cable or the TCS stepping motor on the non-DBW one.

Good idea to wash it this time.
Even the fresh air port for the INJ feed was covered in black carbon.

The back of the butterfly was simply black and quite dirty.
ECU was doing quite good job in stabilizing the idle rpm despite the heavy build up of sticky gunk.

The area behind the TH body was also dirty. Looke like never washed.
The VVIS butterfly screws looked to be fine and still there.

However, quite surprised with the amount of blowby mist oil trapped at the lower chamber of the VVIS at this low mileage.

Not enough to cause white smoke from the exhaust at really high rpm band but something to be cleaned at some point in the future
by removing the intake manifold.

Will carry on with the cooling system service.
