As reported earlier, the rear brake pad was at its limit so placed the order to EBC over the weekend and got the delivery.
As always, very prompt service from ebcbrakeshop.co.uk .

The new EBC Redstuff for the rear.

It has brake-in top coating so it removes the old pad material from the disc surface if you are re-using your existing one.

Please drive gently for quite a while. I normally allow about 600miles before start using hard braking after replacing both the disc and pad at the same time.

Since we are re-using the disc on this NSX, it should be ready at much earlier stage and not like 600miles but still,
very important to gradually increase the brake pressure for the next several hundreds miles.

I also replaced my disc and pad recently and only just started coating the disc with new pad material.

This Redstuff is easy to control under hard braking. The brake dust is very low under normal braking during street driving but obviously,
it will generate lots of dust under hard braking.

Finally, I'm happy to start considering rebuilding the caliper.
One of the reason why I wanted to make some changes in the rhythm. It took ages cleaning these calipers and brackets.....

Because the gold paint condition on the brake looked fairly good on this NSX, I thought it would be an easy task cleaning them.

I was wrong.......

It seems that someone applied some sort of protection coating un-evenly or the car had re-spray and when clear coating was applied,
the brake area was not covered well that part of the caliper and bracket were accidentaly sprayed.

Because of this, the brake dust were baked in really hard at some area of the caliper body and at the bracket. Combined with the uneven coating,
as soon as I clean one area, the dirt just shifted to the next area ending up like in the infinite Mobius loop of cleaning session.......

After hours/days of cleaning, finally I'm happy with them.

Once assembled, you can't see majority of the area so normally, you don't need to clean them to this level but I prefer using my bare hand on
installing the seal, boot, etc so it has to be dirt free to prevent any debris getting inside.

Still waiting for the delivery of coolant hoses, UK spec washer motor, etc from Japan so behind the schedule but hope no more drama during the service.
