Just received lots of parts from Japan for several owners.....

Already contacted the owners as I saw small damage to the box and also I wanted to confirm that the spec of the parts are the correct ones as on very rare occasion, I had correct parts no. printed on the sticker but wrong spec inside the box/bag.

The NA1 Type-R centre tail light assy.

The small damage to the box made me worrying so decided to contact the owner to let me open the box and inspect the parts wearing the glove to prevent finger print.
Fortunately, not a single scratch so happy to put it back in the box and send it out to the owner.

Nice looking black H logo......
I bought NA2 NSX-R rear badge for myself a while ago but haven't installed it yet.....
Difficult decision.......

The anchor bolt for the spare wheel if you still carry it.
I can no longer use my spare tyre as the side shoulder cracked.
I only used it once in my 20 years ownership.....

The MT spec crank pulley.

Ordered two of them and because it's such a heavy parts, had to be sent in separated box from other parts in order to prevent damages.
Glad that both of them were the correct MT spec and not the one for the AT.

The upgraded ABS modulator.
Before the price went up from 01/Jul, placed the order so still the old original price.
Still, you don't want to know the price even in Japan....
Much cheaper than buying from US Acura or HUK.....

Some of the parts for the ABS upgrade are on back order but hope to receive them in the next few weeks/months.
Had to open the bag in order to test the unit using my NSX based on the issue reported in Japan long time ago.

Will hand carry or send out through the post later.

    Hi Kaz,

May I know if there is any specific parts no. on the modulator body to distinguish from the one using in other car model?

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi, Alan.
Many people thinks that ABS is just monitoring the wheel speed sensor at each corner and preventing them from locking up.
I'm afraid ABS algorithm is not that simple. From tyre point of view, the max effective deceleration happens under braking when the tyre is just about slipping against the road surface.

There is a targeted slip rate programmed in the board that is part of the one body latest ABS and unless you have access to the programming loom, you won't be able to change it.
As mentioned in my old post, something looked exactly the same from outside doesn't mean you can use it on another model.

Not sure you are still trying to do so but long time ago, I think you were trying to install the look-a-like one body ABS from S2000 or something into NSX and while you may be able to connect all the brake pipes and even the electrical wiring properly to make the system 'operational', it doesn't mean you have the correct software setup for the NSX.

Good example is the ABS software difference between the 2002+ NSX-R and the standard NSX.

The one body ABS looks exactly the same from outside between the NSX-R and the standard model but the software setup is different and thus, there are two different parts no. for the ABS.

Addition to this, ABS is part of the overall brake performance factor on NSX-R so it uses different master cyl, brake booster, brake pressure slope/rise characteristic, etc. For my driving skill, although I tested them back to back, I couldn't tell the difference but the professional drivers told me that they felt that the ABS setup on NSX-R allows the driver to control the car under braking until the very last moment before the ABS kicks in so again, something looks exactly the same from outside on the ABS unit doesn't mean it's suitable for another model.

For amateur driver level like me, 99.9% of the time, the ABS will be used under panic braking and thus, it has better chance of stopping the car before hitting something by using the one body ABS programmed for the standard model and not for the NSX-R.
