Final Touch

Quite often, being neglected but I don't like the loose cable sitting behind the rad fan.
OEM clips installed and looks much better and safer when you open the bonnet.

As the owner wanted to re-use the right side door weatherstrip, I had to leave it for many days as it took set as the result of poor installation long time ago.
It recovered enough so that I can start the re-installation process.

Some of the screws were missing (yellow marker) at the door visor with plastic disc washer left (blue marker) behind the weatherstrip.

Fortunately, I stocked the spares so installed the new ones.
Very important to visually check that the lip of the weatherstrip is installed behind the recess of the door visor.

Now it looks much better although due to it being installed in the wrong way for many years, I'm bit concerned about the possibility of increase in the wind noise at high speed.

Over the years, your door glass will shift its position.
This NSX was the same and the rear section of the glass was showing about 0.5mm gap against the rubber molding of the rear holder.
Not enough to carry out the glass alignment service and only cost effective once the window goes up and down really slowly.
It will take whole day just for doing the door glass service on one side.

The whistle noise of ULEV eng.
The bypass pipe and tube from both bank to the TH body makes distinctive noise.

Time for the test driving session.
As I replaced the battery, the fuel timer coefficient values were reset. Also, being as full OBD2 spec, all of the status flags were reset.
So, had to do the same multiple test driving modes like the ones I use after the Eng Refresh.

Once fully warmed up, reset the ECU one more time and then basic short test driving sessions for general check up.
No more chirping noise and still no noise from the right forward ceiling.
Cool down session, heat soak mode and then out for the 60mph cruising session for 30min.

All of the flags are now set except for the secondary air system which only kicks in when the engine/CAT is cool enough.
Will start the eng in the morning and it will be set.

Thank you for using my service and hope working on your NSX next year.

Regards,
Kaz
