About to return this NSX to the owner so this is the final catch up updating the blog, for now.....

I have now covered 65miles of test driving session including several VTEC moments
and just one check of over 7,000rpm slope test.
No issues and no warning lights, cool down mode and back on the lift.
Visually no issues and eng sounds light and rhythmical so happy with the result.

By the way, as same on other NSX without the CAT, the exh fume stinks.

As I prefer the way the TB is handled and packaged in JDM parts spec,
I always order it from Japan unless the owners bought it by themselves.
It comes in sealed clear bag with extra bits and carefully treated.
Obviously, the parts no. is different from the rest of the world.
As always, this sticker goes just under the tyre caution label at
the driver side door opening.

Re-soldered and applied coating on the old main relay so that it can be used
as an emergency spare.

Please keep this somewhere on the car.
As this is the original rolled spring spec, even after being re-soldered,
please treat it as a temporary use only.
Also, by now, the relay contact points should have some burnt section so
this will also cause starting issue and can’t be used as long term replacement parts.

As a last minutes request by the owner, being asked to check the audio head unit
and the windshield washer system.

I can’t do anything on the head unit as it has to be removed and opened especially
with no power issue. Unless it's a fuse related (shared with cigarette lighter socket),
one of the most common failure mode when the internal caps leaked acid and
cut through the tiny portion of the power switch track.

For the washer, as I don’t have much experience with UK spec model that has
both the windshield and headlight washers, traced back the washer tube to
get to the washer motor and simply applied the 12V directly in order to eliminate
the possibility of wiring or fuse related issues.

It didn’t even make a click and nothing happens so the motor is dead.

Unfortunately, this is not an easy task as the front bumper needs to come off
unless you can access it while removing the radiator.

It’s not that difficult to remove the bumper but you are going to spend ages for
aligning it on installation.
Even using exactly the same hardware, due to age, heat, torque, etc,
you won’t be able to put it back with exactly the same alignment without spending
hours…..

I have my own policy of not taking off the bumper unless it really has to be done.

As seen on many NSX including mine, the crack at the defrost panel makes
annoying noise while driving.

I’ll be replacing it for another owner in the near future.
I want to replace it on my NSX as well but that will be the time when I finally
decide to replace the A/C evaporator possibly as an assy as the complete heater unit.

Time to wash the car but thunderstorm, torrential downpour…..
Most of the time, I’m washing the NSX in the rain….
I use rain water any way so same result but took ages to finish
washing it this time.

Final engine dressing and done.

Eng cover alignment is not too bad on coupe model and didn't see the rear hatch glass
fogging up on this NSX even the seals were really tired.
On Targa model, even it is fairly new, I always have to spend ages to stop it
from fogging up as the cover is so heavy that the grommet/stud and every seals
can get tired very quickly.

It took long time for servicing this NSX mainly due to extra issues found during
the process but also partial delay was caused by my boss’s holiday.

At the end, glad to see the eng running fine again.

Thank you for using my service and looking forward to servicing your NSX again
in not so distance future especially on the points reported earlier.

Regards,
Kaz
