You guessed it right. I was still washing the engine for 2 days.....
Finally, I’m happy with the 1st stage washing so that I can start
removing the parts.
As always, I don’t want to open the engine before cleaning it otherwise
some debris will fall into the engine.

This is good enough at this stage.

I’ll clean them further later as I’ll have better access to most of the area
once all the parts are removed from the engine.






Couldn’t do any further around the rear valve cover as I knew
something was not right on the cover gasket.

I could see the internal engine parts through the gap so 100% sure
the gasket was not installed properly resulting in so much oil splashed
around this area.

The oil + debris were baked into some of the parts surface yet I didn’t want to
use compressed air or cleaning fluid even after covering the gap so
will clean the area further once the intake manifold and the cyl head
are removed.
