The TB drive pulley looked to be rusty as well.
I have ordered new one just in case.

Having really big time trying to remove the bolts at the heat shield.
Always the ones at the rear bank will cause the headache.
I’m not even going to bother removing the rear bank O2 sensor
without using the heat.
Will deal with these later.

Already knew the front IG coil cover was cracked many years ago.
Placed the order for a new one several months ago only to be told that
this original version is no longer available and superseded to the later spec
taller one for the 3pin IG coil style.
And it was on back order then and still not delivered yet.....

It’s going to be fun washing this engine as the slimy debris are everywhere.......

Will start washing it from today.

I really want to separate the cyl head from the block as soon as possible
because until then, I won’t know whether I need to send the head to the
engineering company for skimming or not.

Almost all of the NSX engines with similar phenomenon didn’t need skimming
so finger-crossed.

To get to this stage, spent not just extra hours but extra days as
there were so many bolts and nuts heavily corroded, missing or
even the wrong spec used and I had to check each of them
in order to place the extra parts order to Japan urgently.

More to follow later.
