Eng Refresh 02

Warmed up the engine and time for the compression check.
Already reported to the owner but slight hesitation experienced on
the engine at this point although no CEL so probably just my ears
and feelings.

Full data has been informed to the owner through email.

While all data and difference between the cyl were well within the spec,
I was quite surprised to see this level of deviation on such new engine.
Possibly someone adjusted the valve clearance when it was really not required???

Will be interesting to see how it will change after the Eng Refresh.

Inspected the TH body and while the butterfly looked to be cleaned
in the past, the body itself was covered in sticky black gunk and
not TH coating.

Although I’m not going to replace the coolant hoses around the TH body,
I think I’ll try removing the body and give it a good wash
while the engine is out.

As seen on many NSX, poor condition of GND and positive cable.
It was twisted sharply.
The green/blue bit is the patina corrosion.
While it will protect the copper itself, patina is an insulator so
not good if it happens inside the terminal.

Observed several corrosion at the battery terminal posts so
will give them good clean on installation.

It is on battery conditioner at the moment.

So many extra wires under the bonnet.
Took some time trying to take out the battery.

Upper side of the engine is almost ready for the engine removal.
Moving on to the bottom side of the engine bay.

Normally, when I’m behind the schedule, I’ll work through over the weekend but
as I got cold like symptom, decided to take day off for the day.

More to follow later.
