A while ago when I replaced the coolant hoses on this NSX,
there were some heavy corrosion at the metal pipes.
However, the area behind the WP was very clean.

Normally I have to remove some slimy debris inside the trap chambe but
with this engine, there was just a tiny amount and it was one of the
most clean engine for this total mileage that I ever seen.

Just a tiny rust at the WP despite being never replaced in the past.
However, the bearing was already dead.
Making noticeable noise and too light when spun by hand.

Lots of oil leaking from the valve cover area behind the cover plate.

As the TH body was washed in the past, intake chamber was fairly clean.

However, there was already some build up of dirt at the back side of
the TH butterfly.
Will clean it again this time.

Although the VVIS butterfly screws were inspected using the fibre scope
in the past, considering the age and mileage of the engine, we decided to
remove the intake manifold and carry out thorough inspection and
cleaning this time.

The oil mist from the blowby entering the intake port.
Probably I’ll find lots of oil at the bottom chamber of the intake manifold.

The famous intake valve guides.
Checked all of them with no issues found.

There was one or two valve stems that showed touch of oil but not too bad.

The failure at the intake valve guide happens far more frequently on C32B engine
than the C30A one but still, it is important to check at some point especially
if you use your engine with rapid rpm changes.

Time to take out the rocker shaft to replace the LMA.

More to follow later.
