Cooling Sys 06

Rate this Entry

Already at the end of brake OH service so doing another catch up
in updating the blog.....

After another vacuum leak check, filled the system with
Honda Type 2 blue coolant.

After initial bleeding, quick 1min fireup to push any air pockets to
the heater core bleeding point.

Another bleeding and this time, the proper fire up until the
rad fan starts operating.
Under this cold weather, usually it will take about 20 – 25min.
The idle rpm looked to be fine in the above photo but it’s the ECU forcing it.

The idle adjust screw looked to be quite wide open.
Will check the idle setting later.

TH cable adjusted (again).

As always, please do not over tighten the battery cramp.
It’s the new GND cable and you should see some gap at the cramp edge
once it’s tight enough.

Probably, you won’t see any gaps on your NSX......

Done.

Last week I replaced the starter battery in my BMW and while doing so, I noticed how unexpectedly sturdy its OEM battery clamps are. Since so many people seem to have problems with the OEM NSX battery clamps, what would you think about installing something like this instead?

Clamps like that can be bought in various configurations and for various cable gauges: http://www.grote.com/cgi-bin/goc/goc...number=82-9053.
