Another poor condition battery GND cable.
Bent and under stress.
I have spare one so may consider replacing this while the battery is out.

Looks like someone replaced the power transistor at the blower motor fan
but didn’t route the cable properly.
While the coolant hoses are removed, will try re-routing it.

Replacing the crank pulley.
It’s AT model so has better chance of surviving longer than the MT one
before splitting the heavy weight but looked to be the original one.
No need to risk it so my recommendation is to just replace it with a
new one at the time of every TB service.

In fact, it can be replaced any time without touching TB or other major parts.
Just need to adjust the belt tension for ACG and A/C compressor.

The oil cooler is rusty but not too bad.
Keep eye on this.

Probably the same on your NSX.
Missing the rubber seal around the TB tension adjuster bolt.

The TB cover sits bit further inward than normal so looked strange but
couldn’t do anything unless carrying out the Eng Refresh.

Wow, it’s still using the old design WP and TB lower cover....
It’s the one from the factory......
Strongly recommend replacing it at the next TB service.
In fact, I always replace WP together with the TB.

As seen on so many NSX engines, the area behind the crank pulley
was full of gunk.
It’s the oil from the front bank valve cover area and just blown away
while the car was moving at high speed.

Not going to be able to clean this thoroughly without Eng Refresh
so something for the future.

As reported earlier, my concern became the reality.
The bleeder plug at the thermostat housing was already showing rust.

The drained coolant was like plain water with touch of green colour.
Too thin for protecting the cooling system.
Will carefully inspect the rest of pipes and areas
while removing the coolant hoses.

More to follow later.
