Health Check 04

Rate this Entry

The wheel speed trigger teeth at the drive shaft were very rusty at both RR and RL side.
Not enough to trigger ABS warning light but keep eye on this.
If it gets worse, the rust could knock off the sensor head or simply it will loose the
sharp trigger edge that is important for ABS signal processing.

As seen on almost all of the early model NSX, the windshield upper molding and fastener
got shrunk.
Will replace them later.

There was quite a lot of moisture inside the boot.

And as reported by the owner, the centre tail light piece was full of moisture.
Will replace it later.
I had the option to order the NA1 Type-R spec (black ‘H’ logo) but the owner preferred
the standard silver ‘H’ one.

As the tail light is not a completely sealed parts, it will show some condensation
when the boot is at such high humidity.
It’s not too bad on this NSX so will leave them for now as it should disappear
once the boot has dried up.

Hope to finish the Health Check soon.
