Started the cleaning process and remembered that I should take the video.

Very good example to show the sticky inconsistent LMA that will
cause tappetty and random frequency noise.

Removed rocker shaft and LMA.
Because of the thick black oil, even removing the rocker shaft felt some
resistance even though none of the primary/secondary arms moved when
the mid one was pressed.

The upper ones are from the front bank and the lower ones are
from the rear side.
Just black contaminated poor LMA.....

Of course, it’s inside the LMA pocket as well.

Looks like the starter was replaced in the past.
I heard several owners experienced no-cranking situation so not surprised.

Just spending hours tackling the black oil everywhere.

It also managed to bake itself into some of the cam journals so
needs careful touch not to scratch the surface.

The smell of blowby is making me sick but until I finish the cleaning process,
I won’t be able to start any assembly processes.

Told the next owner in the queue that I won’t be ready for the
already postponed schedule.

Will be back later if I’m still alive......
