Eng Refresh 27

Rate this Entry

Battery was kept on the battery conditioner for the duration of Eng Refresh so that
it would be fully charged at the time of compression check at the end of
the service.

Replaced tired and kinked GND cable with the new one.

If tightened properly, you should see some gap at the yellow marked area.
Otherwise, it’s over-tightened and the damage has been done to both
the battery post and the terminal clamp.

Quick 30sec fire up to move any remaining air bubbles inside the cooling system.

Followed by the proper fire up to open the thermostat and
activate the radiator fan.

Went through all gears to check the rear wheel speed sensors
as well as the shift cables.

Yellow light is the TCS indicator.
It's on purposely disabled for blipping the TH without any brakes
otherwise TCS will kick in and you can't open the TH.

Compression check after the Eng Refresh.

Full data has been sent to the owner through email.

The deviation between each cyl is much closer than before start of the
service and engine sounded very nice.

Simply...... just beautiful data.......

Applied silicone grease to the IG coil head and tube.

New rubber seal with silicone grease at the IG coil cover.

Quick eng oil and filter change with small amount of old oil that can’t be
drained from the sump plug extracted from the top as well.

Fresh Mobil 1 in the new filter.

Another quick fire up and will adjust the oil and coolant level tomorrow.

Just need to put several parts back in the engine bay,
bleed the brake system, ABS service and then I can focus
on the electronics side.

Test driving session to follow.
