Eng Refresh 22

Rate this Entry

Started cleaning the debris of gasket from the intake manifold chamber
but wearing the mask and the glove made me uncomfortable so
decided to change the rhythm.

New WP with the replacement bolts.

No sign of seepage at the crank seal and based on the data back in Japan,
it’s not commonly replaced on NSX compared to other models.
I keep spare but rarely replacing it during the Eng Refresh.

New WP, TB tensioner, tensioner bolt, TB installed.

The owner bought the TB in the past possibly from US so there will be
no special sticker that you can see in the TB package from Japan.
The parts no. is also different.

Keep checking the timing many times until you are 300% sure that it is correct.

TB tensioned properly and TB lower cover with expensive gasket ready to be installed.

Don’t forget the rubber seal around the TB tensioner bolt.

Important to replace the TB cover bolts with the new ones.
11 of them around the cover and 2 extra long ones at the top.
