Now I understood why there was clicking noise at the Left drive shaft after removing it from the car and even when rotated it by just the hand.

There was no 60deg offset between the inboard and outboard spider/tripod.



The way the locking band was installed was also not the factory spec so someone opened this drive shaft in the past.

The grease was already broken down and looked like melting ice cream in dark black colour.

Will need to inspect these rollers and both joints carefully before I even start the overhaul process.


Right drive shaft to follow.


I must pick up some MTF-3 from my local Honda garage as I’m bit short on the stock.
