While waiting for the liquid gasket to cure, worked on the CAT heatshield for the noise issue. It would have been easier if I just trimmed the small portion of the horizontal metal bar at the aftermarket diffuser to widen the gap in order to prevent the CAT from scratching against it. However, I was worried about the long term strength/durability of the metal bar so decided not to do so and went for the more time consuming option. ...
What a long day… Spent many hours just cleaning the oil gunk. Before I can even touch the Front CAT and Exh Down Pipe, I had to first clean the build up of the gunk otherwise I couldn’t get enough grip or even attach the socket to the nut.
