Fortunately, other area of the board were not severely damaged so only extra cleaning work was required.

All capacitors are now upgraded and damaged tracks and pads were repaired.


After checking the power circuit, it was safe to connect to my NSX so quick check before applying the conformal coating.


Carried out Self diag, Function & Operation check and back to work bench to apply the coating.

Now, just waiting for the coating to dry and will be carrying out another Self diag, Function & Operation check, then will be out for the test driving session using my NSX.


If everything goes well, will be start working on the Bose speaker AMPs and would like to finish them before start working on another NSX next week.

    Looking at those pics, I'm really glad I decided to bite the bullet and get it looked at early, it's definitely saved me a lot more pain later on.

    Thank you for the nice comment, Geraint and nobby.


    You already received my CCU Service Final Report so it’s kind of duplicate but I’m happy with the test driving session result so your CCU is ready.


    When you receive the board, you will notice that one of the capacitor is bent away from Power IC heat sink.


    Please keep it as it is because it was done on purposely.



    Will be able to ship it out with the Bose AMPs early next week.
