New sealing plug at the rear rocker shafts.
Didn't like re-using the partially rusted existing ones.
With early models at higher torque spec (I think it's too high any way), not ideal using HEX bit on rusty plugs.

New CRK/CYL sensor installed.
Carefully torqued as you don’t want this getting loose while the eng is running……

Rear bank rocker arms cleaned, oiled and ready for the camshaft installation.

Valve covers cleaned to this level.
Before/after.

Lots and lots of sticky gunk so bit of extra time required.
Can’t do much with already rusted section.

As it’s getting closer to the stage where I want to close the engine before drilling out the CAT bolts, decided to paint the valve covers.
Should have done it when it was about 25degC the previous weekend.

Still, not too bad after 3rd coating......

Getting windy so had to take them back inside and man, it smells…..
Didn’t feel like eating anything for hours….

So much better than this......
