    After many test driving sessions under different temperature conditions,
    I was not happy with the noise from the following places;


    • The metal rattling noise from the glove box lock
    • The floppy noise from the A/C vent at the door arm rest
    • The right side seat belt anchor trim
    • Rear upper trim
    • Still some noise from the rear view mirror
    • Clock unit
    • Wind noise from the door upper weatherstrip (already known to the owner)
    • Leather squeaking

    The two parts at the upper side of this photo are for the
    windscreen upper molding and the bottom one is for
    the defrost panel that came in a strong cardboard box.

    Just keep removing the parts…..








    And as expected, so many aftermarket cables were
    installed not only on this NSX but on most of the
    UK based ones.

    Probably from the security systems that were installed by
    Honda UK when these NSX arrived here.

  4. Interior noise 01

    This week, I have been working on another NSX.

    The service menu is to mainly look into the interior noise
    but also some other bits such as replacing the
    windscreen upper molding, re-install the front lower spoiler
    and wheel arch lining, etc.


    After arriving at my place, the owner told me that
    he only experienced very little interior noise on the way
    to my place and nothing like amount of noise that he
    reported

    Once I started reducing the interior noise, there were several exterior noises that were bit annoying even when the window was closed.


    When the owner brought this NSX to my place, one of the heat shield at the exhaust fell off and he handed me the piece so that I can re-install it.

    It is not a difficult job but after looking at the state of the mating shield, I decided that it would be best to keep them off as they will ...
