  1. A/C CCU Board Service 01

    by , 02-12-2012 at 03:19 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

I have been focusing on writing lots and lots of documents and
    in the back ground,
I started working on another CCU board.
The owner contacted me as he lost several controls through his CCU.

He had a quick look at the board and confirmed that there was just
a small leakage at C44 and told me that the rest of the board looked fine.

Well, I heard the same story more than 100 times so

  2. A/C CCU Board Service B-02

I have now covered more than 100miles using my NSX with
the board that I serviced in 2009.
It’s been tested for many days now with no issues and
it passed the testing scenarios many times so I came to

    Apart from three capacitors,
rest of them had some sort of acid leakage and compared to other board,
the acid managed to penetrate through so deep into the board that
the repair task was quite difficult.

At some part of the board, the copper pad was completely dissolved and
missing so there was no way I could apply the soldering.

  4. JDM Centre Console Part 2

    by , 24-11-2012 at 08:04 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

    After exchanging several email,
the owner brought his NSX to my place this morning.

The service menu was to swap the A/C CCU board that
I serviced recently and also to install the new JDM centre console.

I was bit concerned about the weather forecast and
although it started raining, it was not too bad.

So, while the owner and his friend were spending some time at
the nearby restaurant area, started the service.

From time to time, I get request from Honda garages, tuning shops, etc for
    NSX related supports.
This time, it was for the CCU board.

I was asked to look into two CCU boards.
