  1. Seat Noise

    When I heard about the seat noise issue from the owner, I thought it was the common squeaking noise caused by the seat leather scratching each other.


    However, when the owner showed me the exact noise, it was the metal clicking noise around the base of the seat.

    So, decided to take the driver seat out and found that the noise was coming from the weakened spot welding ...

  2. Sluggish Launch and slow Kick Down response

    In order to check the cooling system after replacing the header tank and the effect of the new Air filter, went out for a test driving session.


    As the original air filter was so dirty (even at low mileage), decided to reset the ECU as well.


    Also, spoke with the owner and he told me that regardless of the engine temperature, quite often immediately after starting the engine, the engine rpm drops significantly and almost stalls ...

  3. Air Con CCU board Service 03

    CCU is now back on the car and carried out the Function/Operation check as well as Self Diagnosis test.

    In the process of ‘Mode 5’ check.


    The cabin air temperature is no longer making noise and confirmed that the fan is working under the new setup.

    After applying the thermal compound and conformal coating, the front AMPs were ready to be installed back to the speaker box.


    Now they are back on the car and being tested together with the aftermarket woofers and tweeters.

    All three AMPs are out of the speaker box now.


    The basic design of Bose AMP is the same for other car models including the ones from other automotive manufactures and Bose made several improvements over the years to share the same circuit board design with others.


    They just change the equalisation code by using different capacitors, IC, filter, ...
