  1. TH Butterfly Cleaning

    What a dirty TH body…..
    Not sure when it was cleaned last time…..








    The PCV valve was still operating but completely covered in black gunk.
    When it is clean, it should be white - light brown.

  2. Drive Shaft 02

    Temporarily placed back the wheel and torqued the big spindle nut to the 329Nm.
    Then, used the special chisel designed for drive shaft service to stake and lock the nut.


    Torqued all of the suspension related bolts and nuts under 1G and started the engine
    and placed the car in 1st gear just to see everything is not touching anything.

    Just a quick update.

    Started the drive shaft service.
    As I didn’t want to wait until the paint to become dry, decided to use my
    precious rebuilt joint that were already painted long time ago.

    Before doing so, disassembled the existing drive shaft and confirmed that
    it can be re-used for the future service.
    You don’t want to swap your precious parts only to find that the other
    parts were already broken.

    Started vacuum filling the cooling system.




    Preparing for the fire up.
    After wearing the ear plugs in case the security alarm triggered, re-connected the
    battery that was on battery conditioner from the start

    Not much to report while re-assembling everything back in place as it’s just a
    matter of lots and lots of wrenching.



    New header tank, cap and fuel lines installed.
