Time to vacuum fill the coolant.

Another leak check as I removed the header tank after carrying out the last check.

Honda Type 2 coolant in the system now.

Connected the battery and warmed up the engine.

Quick adjustment on the ACG and A/C belts as they expanded a bit.

Again, they need to be re-adjusted in the future.

Time for the compression check after the service.

All data in [psi]
Cyl 1: **8, Cyl 2: **0, Cyl 3: **0,
Cyl 4: **0, Cyl 5: **1, Cyl 6: **0

Similar trend to the data ‘before’ starting the service.

#1 showed lower figure and #5 showed higher figure on both 'before' and 'after' session so trend for this specific NSX.

Still, very healthy data and hope to see this for another 10, 20, ... years time.

Quickly drained the engine oil and replaced the oil filter.

As usual, filled the filter with the new oil before the installation.

Further 400 - 500cc of old oil was removed from the top by the vacuum pump.

As the cam shaft area of the engine is very clean now, it would be nice if the owner can repalce the engine oil at least evey 6 months regardless of the low mileage covered during that period.

Blowby gas is not great and when the engine is cold or if frequent short distance trips are carried out, there will be lots of blowby gas.

Another reason to replace the engine oil regularly even you don't drive a lot.

Finally, I can start putting back all the parts around the IGN coil area.

New rubber seal on the IGN coil cover and applied silicone grease to keep them fresh for longer period.

Very important especially for the Rear bank as any water from the rain, washing the car, etc will fall onto the rear valve cover resulting in corrosion at the IGN coil and spark plug if the rubber seal gets old.

Finally, the triangle stiffener is back in place.

Cleaned the engine bay a little as a final touch.

Put the car on the ground, bounce it several times to settle the suspension and torqued the rear anti roll bar bush to the spec.

They were loosened in order to remove the anti roll bar bracket to access the rear mid cover bolt.

Always difficult with the four O2 sensors model…

Done.

Will be carrying out the test driving session tomorrow morning and then time for the Health Check and Annual Service.
