  1. Intermittent Engine (or something else) Issue 02

    The owner also told me that when he started the engine, instead of going through the warm up sequence, quite often, the engine rpm dropped and almost like about to stall.

    Because of this, the owner wanted me to clean the TH butterfly as well while his NSX is at my place.

    Before resetting the on purposely disconnected O2 sensor error from yesterday, started the engine as it is first thing in the morning.

  2. OBD-II Bluetooth Interface 02

    So, received the package and started to install it.


    There are lots of different Bluetooth models available from cheap version to the high end ones on the Amazon, ebay, etc.

    If you want just a simple and cheap Bluetooth OBD-II adaptor, search the web for ‘ELM327 Bluetooth’ but beware of the fact that some people had no issues at all while others had big problem with them.

    So, as reported earlier, another owner visited my place to have his engine diagnosed.

    It was checked by Honda with no faults found and very likely to be the case that they couldn’t re-create the same issue.
    I was told that the IG coil, spark plug, O2 sensors and possibly the Fuel Pressure, etc were checked by them with no fault found.
    Also being told that the battery was healthy, the main relay was replaced, etc.

  4. So Busy… again…

    Finally, managed to find some time to update the Blog in real time manner.

    I still need to finish many Health check reports but should be able to start sending them out one by one soon.
    Takes long time as each report has to be customised considering the way the NSX is driven by each owner.


    Updating the Blog for each NSX visited my place at the moment so please take a look.

  5. OBD-II Bluetooth Interface 01

    Until recently, I didn’t need the OBD-II reader as I could borrow it if I wanted to.

    Being involved in the engine/chassis control and data acquisition system for F1 cars, OBD-II protocol didn’t attract me at all as they were designed for monitoring purpose and not for the timing control.

    It is also not required for just reading the error code when you see the warning light on your dash as you can short circuit the blue 2pin connector at ...
