  1. Too tight... Drive shaft 01

    by , 14-02-2011 at 11:01 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Started to work on another NSX.

Before bringing the NSX to my place, the owner tried to take out the drive shaft by himself but he couldn’t remove the spindle nut.

It seemed that at least one of them was never removed in the past.

Based on my advice, the owner took his NSX to HGV garage and asked them to remove the spindle nut using their heavy duty tool.

Apparently, they ended up applying more ...

  2. Lots of LEDs...

    by , 12-02-2011 at 10:17 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

After testing the super bright LED parking/side light for 2 years and 8 months, one of them failed so decided to replace it.

I thought about getting different model but considering the design/size, wattage, super brightness and the harsh vibration from Type-S suspension setup, I think it survived quite well so went with the same one.

  3. KSP Engineering 6MT Reverse Lockout Solenoid Controller

    by , 12-02-2011 at 12:55 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

One of the owner decided to go ahead with 6MT conversion and asked me for the easy solution on disabling the reverse gear while driving.

So, I offered him the link to the product from KSP Engineering in Japan and after his confirmation, I ordered it for him.

  4. Digital Torque Wrench

    by , 11-02-2011 at 11:35 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Probably, it was due to the cold winter we had but my digital torque wrench just gave up.

It decided to stop displaying anything on the display even though all of the buttons were still responding.

As I have a back up one for each torque ranges, it won’t cause me a problem and thanks for the Life Time Warranty, I just need to return it to the manufacture.

Hope it will be back very soon.

  5. NSX Technical and Service Information Index

    by , 10-02-2011 at 08:15 AM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

My NSX Health Check thread is now more than 560 posts and I on purposely kept all the posts in one thread so that I can create full backup of all the posts in one single page.

With this backup file, I don't need to be on the net to browse through the Health Check thread.

It also allows me to easily search all of the posts for a specific text without using the search feature of the site or jumping through the pages because more than 560 posts are ...
