Air Con CCU Board Service 01

Rate this Entry
Started to work on another CCU board. The owner also sent in the three Bose speaker AMPs as well so will be working on them later. This is another very good example on the importance of preventative measure. The owner was not feeling any issues at all with his A/C but decided to send the CCU board to my place.Very good decision....Click image for larger version.

After looking at the board, once again, I decided not to connect it to my NSX as I was scared with the condition of diode array DM11 and capacitor C15 area. There were so many leakage from the capacitors and some of them were quite serious. Click image for larger version.

At the end, 8 out of 13 capacitors were leaking the acid. The track and the pad especially around C44 and DM11 were seriously damaged. Probably, the owner didn’t notice some of the air outlet mode issues. This week, I decided to focus on writing the documents for the Health Check report, future service quote, business planning, etc but looks like, I need to spend more time on the electronics side again….
