Although this is the 1st TB service for this NSX, the crank pulley bolt was not seized and came off with ease.

The car is close to the last year model and still at low mileage so all of the bolts and nuts are easy to work with.

Having said this, some of the TB lower ...

  2. Parts Arrived

    by , 29-03-2011 at 09:22 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

I only started to work on another NSX from this week and already received almost all of the parts for the next service....

More than one month ago, I placed an order for lots of parts to japan.

There were several back ordered parts at that time but it didn’t bother me because I only needed the parts around mid April.

    Then, the earthquake hit Japan.

While I thought about the delay for the parts ...

This NSX is the Targa with LEV so before I can access the IGN Coils and spark plugs, I must remove so many things as a preparation.

For TB/WP service, it would be quicker to take the engine out with the sub-frame like I used to do especially if it is OBD-II LEV model.

  4. Preparation for the TB/WP service

    by , 27-03-2011 at 09:24 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Another owner left his NSX for the TB/WP/Valve clearance service together with the Health Check and 96 months services.

[Message to the owner] Your service history record will have the Blog ID as 'NSX-Service-2011108'.

The owner bought the parts in US based on the list that I provided and brought them back with him on the way back to UK.

  5. Exhaust…

Recently, one of the owner visited my place for the Health Check Service and his NSX was super charger with the member AR’s Zero Drone Exhaust.

It was very quiet at low rpm but once you open the throttle, it gave really nice roaring sound.

I think the owner had the header from C32B and until I was told, I didn’t even realise that the car was in fact de-CAT.

It was that quiet even without the CAT.

    The engine ...
