This NSX is using the K&N air cleaner element but too much oil was applied in the past.

The excess oil was dripping on the base of the air box making it very dirty.

Also, it was sticking to the face of TH butterfly.




















The filter body itself was not seating properly.

The rubber gasket was trapped and took set so not making good seal….

I won't be removing the intake manifold on this occasion but I'm quite sure I'll see lots of sand like paste on the VVIS area.

Probably won't make huge difference and I have never measured the flow data back to back between OEM and the K&N but
the corrugated area of this filter looked much smaller than the OEM one.


After discussing with the owner, we'll go back to the OEM air cleaner element.
