I have been using
several LED bulbs on my NSX and
although they are really bright, some of them failed within
1 or 2 years probably due to the contained heat inside the
bulb holder and the also the soldering crack from my
Type-S suspension.

A few owners wanted to try the same festoon bulb as mine
for the interior and the boot light but unfortunately,
the vendor in Japan was too busy with another project that
it was out of stock since last year and being told that
it won’t be available until April.

I could have ordered the same bulb from another vendor in
UK but then decided to go back to the basic and
ordered the previous model which had good review by
other car owners.

It’s similar brightness but not quite as mine but
probably better from the heat point of view.

The one at the top is the model I use.

At the same time, I ordered single wedge bulb mainly
for the license plate lighting but will test it for
the position light as well.

Unlike the one I have been using (the one at the top),
it won’t spread the beam wide enough for the position light and
probably it will show single dot but I would rather have
something working for many years and not just 1 or 2 years.

For the licence plate lighting, this one is good enough.

For NSX, I’ll just create DIY reflector inside the clear cover as
the bulb is pointing in the direction away from the license plate.

Just need to find some time working on my NSX that is
always the biggest challenge.....
