So, after bringing the engine to operating temperature with the header tank cap removed, carried out the Engine Block Test.
The fluid colour didn’t change at all after passing the header tank air through the test fluid for 1min so good result.
Even a touch of yellow colour means exhaust gas leakage into the cooling system.

Vacuum leak check was carried out when the engine was cold and now the Eng ...

  3. Front Valve Cover 01

    by , 09-11-2011 at 10:33 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

Based on the available time for the day and the weather forecast for tomorrow, decided to work on the Front Valve Cover first and at the end, it was the right decision as I had to spend extra time for cleaning the excessive liquid gasket residue.

  5. TB Tensioner Bolt Seal

    by , 07-11-2011 at 11:19 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - ex-Honda R&D, F1, Indy/CART engineer)

For some reason, most of the UK based NSX that had TB service in the past would be missing this tiny cheap rubber seal at the TB tensioner bolt head just outside of the TB cover.

Due to the heat from the surrounding area, by the time for the TB service, it will be deteriorated so you will need to replace it.
In fact, if you try to remove it, it will very likely to break any way.
