Preparation for the fire up.

Probably not necessary but just as my standard procedure,
fresh Mobil 1 into the oil filter and into the engine.

Sub frame bolts and all four mounts torqued to the spec in specific order.
The rear mount is the last one to be torqued.

As expected based on the report at the very beginning of the service,
spent ages trying to align the aftermarket exhaust back box/adaptor/CAT.

I can’t compress these spring loaded bolts any further as it will become
solid bolt and no point in using swivel joint yet I'm worried about possible exh leak.

When I carried out the research on the aftermarket header and exh backbox,
one key factor was the serviceability after the installation.
Lots of products showed many issues such as not possible to remove the bolts
from rear sub frame, can’t tilt the engine without hitting the rear sub frame,
etc, etc, etc.

This aftermarket exh backbox was installed with adaptor pipes fabricated by
someone but I’m afraid, it’s not aligned well.
There was very limited space at the Front CAT against the rear sub frame.
It’s heat shield so not a big issue but may cause knocking noise although
I doubt the owner will be able to hear it due to the loud exhaust note.
Better to rotate the adaptor slightly or fabricate new one.

As this NSX is LEV with full OBD2 spec, there are lots of extra parts related to
the air pump and the emission devices.
Because of this, normally I bleed the CL fluid first before installing everything
back in place but as I wanted to put eng fire up at higher priority,
decided to do it later.
Probably bad idea as I’m going to struggle accessing the bleeder plug.....

Don’t forget the small plastic cable hook at the marked position on
the O2 sensor wire.
Probably missing from your NSX......

Pretty much everything under the engine bay finished.

Will torque the suspension related bolts and nuts under 1G later and
will adjust the A/C and ACG belts tension after the fire up or
test driving session.
