Probably, the most neglected area on the UK based NSX, the brake system.

After test driving so many NSX using exactly the same route and scenario, almost none of them passed my test for the brake system.

The cause of the issue is simple.

It was not properly overhauled (OH) at regular interval.

In fact, on most of them, the system was never OH after they left the factory.

Time for the compression check after the TB/WP/Valve service.

    Result in psi.

Full data has been emailed to the owner.

    Cyl 1: **0, Cyl 2: **0, Cyl 3: **9

  3. Throttle Butterfly Cleaning

by , 20-05-2011 at 11:02 PM (Today at Atelier Kaz - Private NSX Enthusiast, ex-Honda R&D engineer with F1, Indy/CART background)

Before warming up the engine in preparation for the compression check after TB service, started to clean the TH butterfly while the engine was cold.

This NSX is DBW so there is no EACV, dashpot, etc.

From time to time, on DBW model, you may need to adjust the idle rpm based on the specific procedure after cleaning the TH butterfly.

In the process of Function and Operation test.

Both units were fine after applying the coating so time for a test driving session.

I think I’ll stop doing this CCU test driving procedure for the future as none of the unit failed during this session after passing several tests using ...

Had to be in a meeting away from my place so used the opportunity to test two CCU board using my NSX.

After getting back to my place, time to vacuum fill the cooling system.
